Introduction
The Foundership (“Company” or “We”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy. This policy describes the types of information we may collect from you when you visit thefoundership.com, apply for membership, apply for a Coffee Cohort or participate in the Foundership Community hosted on Mighty Networks (collectively, the “Foundership Platforms”).
This policy applies to information we collect:
On the Foundership Platforms and the Mighty Networks platform.
In membership applications, surveys, and feedback forms.
In e-mail, text, and other electronic messages between you and The Foundership.
It does not apply to information collected by any third party, including other members of The Foundership or third-party applications (like Mighty Networks or Stripe) which have their own privacy policies you should review.
Age Requirements
The Foundership Platforms and our community are intended for use by adults only. By using the Foundership Platforms, you warrant that you are at least 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.
Information We Collect and How We Collect It
We collect several types of information from and about users of our community, including:
Personal Information: Name, email address, social profile links, professional website links, geographical location, and current occupation.
Membership Data: Motivation for joining, expected contributions, and referral information.
Usage Data: Details of your visits to our Foundership Platforms, including traffic data, location data, and the resources that you access.

Use of Community Content
Content shared within the private Foundership community (Mighty Networks) may be used in internal communications to highlight community insights. If we wish to use your content or image in a way that identifies you externally (such as a marketing post or public blog), we will seek your permission first. Membership Directory
The Membership Directory is a core feature of The Foundership. It is password-protected and available only to active Members. It displays your name, image, role, general location, and links you choose to provide through your Profile on Mighty Networks.
Sensitive Information
We do not intentionally request special-category data (such as health info or government ID numbers).
Diversity Initiatives: We may ask for optional information regarding racial or ethnic origin or caregiving status to assess eligibility for specific sponsorships or community segmentation. Providing this is entirely optional.
Financial Data: We do not store credit card information. All payments are processed through third-party providers like Stripe or Squarespace.
Automatic Data Collection
We use technologies like cookies and web beacons to improve our service. These help us estimate audience size, store your preferences, and recognize you when you return.
Analytics: We use Google Analytics to understand site traffic. This data is statistical and does not identify you personally unless you provide that information elsewhere.
Opt-out: You can set your browser to refuse cookies, though some parts of the site may then be inaccessible.
How We Use Your Information

Please note that even if you opt out of marketing communications, we may continue to send you transactional or administrative messages related to your Membership, such as renewal notices, payment confirmations, and account notifications.
Disclosure of Your Information
We may disclose personal information:
To other members (via the Membership Directory).
To contractors and service providers (like Mighty Networks, Stripe, Squarespace or Kit/Flodesk) who help us run our business and who are contractually obligated to keep personal information confidential and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them.
To comply with any court order, law, or legal process, including to respond to any government or regulatory request.
To a buyer or successor in the event of a merger, acquisition, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of the Company’s assets.
To enforce or apply our Terms of Use and other agreements, including for billing and collection purposes.
Service Providers

Mighty Networks: Community hosting and interaction.
Stripe: Payment processing.
Airtable / Google Sheets: Data management.
Kit / FloDesk: Email communications.

Even if you leave the community, your past posts (User Contributions) may remain visible to maintain community continuity, as described in our Terms of Use.
We implement measures designed to secure your personal information, including encryption in transit and access controls. However, the transmission of information via the internet is never 100% secure. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Foundership Platforms.
Changes to Our Privacy Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last Modified” date at the top will reflect the most recent changes. If we make material changes to how we treat our users’ personal information, we will notify you via email or a community announcement. Your continued use of the Foundership Platforms after such notice constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
