We’re on a mission to make entrepreneurship feel less lonely.
Just because you’re a founder doesn’t mean you have to go it alone.
If you’re seeking support and friendship on your founder journey, you’re in the right place. We’re a Kansas City-based community for female founders looking to grow their businesses through real support, insights and friendship.
We’re intentionally doing things differently
You know those cringey networking events that lead to no real connections or do nothing for your biz?
Yah, you won’t find that here. This is a space where you can build real relationships and have deep conversations that go beyond the classic “what do you do?”
And we’d love for you to be a part of it
No matter your industry, background or experience, you’re welcome here. Some founders sell products, others sell services. Some are building lifestyle businesses, others are scaling up.
We’re not here to impress — we’re here to support. Because no matter what you’re building, you shouldn’t have to build it alone.
Our founder story is a bit personal
Hi friend — I’m Maggie Glenski, the founder and CEO of The Foundership
To be honest, this all got started because I woke up one day and realized how alone I felt in my business. I’m a solopreneur who started a boutique content marketing agency so I could have more flexibility for my family.
I went off on my own during a pivotal point — I had just become a mom in the middle of a pandemic. Motherhood was making it hard to stay connected and the pandemic made it even harder. And now that I had quit, I was no longer seeing my work friends. Not to mention, I was building a business without a biz partner or full-time team members.
Needless to say, my soul was longing for some friends. Not just friends who would be there to support me in everyday life, but ones that understood the ups and downs, the unknowns, the challenges that come with entrepreneurship.
I intentionally started building friendships with other female founders in my area who felt the same — ones who were looking for collaboration, support and genuine friendship. And that grew to what you see today with The Foundership.
This is a community built around support and friendship — the two things I believe every founder needs. And when you have them, it’s amazing what can unlock in your business.
